The Ellsworth Community College volleyball team ended regular season play at home with a win against NIACC in five sets. The set scores were 15-25, 25-23, 25-21, 24-26, and 15-5.
Panther stat leaders included Mary Goergen with 17 kills and 5 blocks; Darayliz Santiago with 21 set assists, Cristina Negron with 24 set assists and 3 aces; Madison Grabau with 20 digs and 2 aces; April Jones with 10 kills and 5 blocks; and Allison Kuennen with 10 kills.
"It was great to get our last home match win, especially a five-set thriller on sophomore night. We had great crowd support and it was an overall great night," commented ECC Head Volleyball Coach Melanie Suljic. "We'll match up with Northeast out of Norfolk, NE, for the first round of post-season play next Wednesday, Nov. 5."
