The Ellsworth Community College volleyball team won Tuesday, Sept. 23, in three sets against Southwestern: 25-18, 25-20 and 26-24.

Stats leaders included Keisha Machado with 11 kills; Mary Goergen with 13 kills; April Jones with 9 kills and 2 blocks; Cristina Negron with 39 set assists and 2 blocks; Madison Grabau with 15 digs; and Paola Soto with 13 digs and 2 aces.

"We had solid serve receive against SWCC, and hit at a good efficiency of .281," commented ECC Head Coach Melanie Suljic. "This was a must-win conference match for us, so it was great to get a solid win at home in three."

The Panthers will remain at home for their next match against Grand View JV on Monday, Sept. 29, at 7 pm.
