Ellsworth wrestling faces rivals, Iowa Central

IOWA FALLS – Wednesday, the Ellsworth Community College wrestling team traveled to rivals Iowa Central Community College. The dual, which featured two highly ranked squads was won by the Tritons – 28-13. Winning for ECC was Jackson Wenberg at 141, a 9-8 decision. At 165, Mikael Failor pinned his opponent and Rozell Baker earned a 12-1 major decision at 184.

The Panthers then competed in the Lindenwood Open and had three placewinners, including one champion. Baker (184) went 5-0 in the tournament, including a major decision, two pins and two decisions. Dennis McNeal (125) and Darrell Mason (285) also placed.

ECC is next in action Wednesday, Dec. 4 against Iowa Lakes at home starting at 7 p.m.
