The final home wrestling meet took place on Wednesday, Jan. 23 as the #5 Panthers hosted #6 Iowa Lakes Community College. Fifteen ECC sophomore wrestlers were honored for their dedication and commitment to the program to kick-off the night. The Panthers took a 29-15 win over Iowa Lakes.

The Panthers took victories in the first two matches of the night with Charles Griffin (285) winning by decision over Andre Bissainthe and Carter Cox (125) with a fall over Pierre Dolcine.

Iowa Lakes would win the third match at 133 lbs, Avery Holder with a fall over Hector Candelaria. 

ECC won the next two matches with Zach Donathan at 141 lbs winning by major decision over Anthony Fisher, Cardeionte Wilson (149) by decision over Tracy Davis and Zach Garza (157) by major decision over Tavoris Smith.

Iowa Lakes would come back with two wins of their own with Tyrone Jones (165) with a fall over Adriane Kedekein and Marcus Placide (184) by decision over Jordan Shahrikian.

The final match of the evening Bryce Pilcher (197) led 4-2 going into the third and took the match by decision over Terron Robinson.
