Panther women fight hard on the road

The Ellsworth Community College women played two games on the road last week. The Panthers lost 100-36 to Grand View University JV and 91-36 to Wartburg JV. ECC struggled offensively, shooting just 20 percent in Tuesday's contest. Keara Williams led the team in scoring with 13 points and was the only player over double figures. Abby Arrowood led in rebounds with seven.

The Panthers only nabbed eight offensive rebounds in the contest, 34 total boards in the game. Ellie Barrows led the way scoring, finishing with four three-pointers and 12 points. Once again, second chance shots were limited as ECC had just seven offensive rebounds and 35 boards for the game.

The Panthers host Wartburg JV on Wednesday with a game time of 5:30 p.m.
