Panther women drop two at NIACC tournament

The Ellsworth Community College women's basketball team competed in the Konigsmark Klassic at NIACC, dropping two games.

ECC started off strong against Bay College on Friday, Nov. 2 leading up to the third quarter 37-36 but struggled to score in the final quarter only adding 10 points to the board. The Panthers dropped their first game of the tournament 61-47.

Tayla Nulty (Ballarat, Australia) led the Panthers in scoring putting 17 points on the board. Meredith Lincoln (Saratoga, WY) followed with 10 points. Alicia Limones (Belividere, IL) led the team in rebounding with 10 boards. 

ECC struggled to score in their second game of the tournament when they took a loss to Illinois Central College 88-33 on Saturday, Nov. 3.

Nulty and Limones were leading scorers for ECC again with 12 points for Nulty and 10 for Limones. Lincoln had 7 boards to lead the Panthers in rebounding.

The Panthers will be on the road for their next game as they travel to North Central Missouri College on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 5:30 pm. They will then hose Rochester Community and Technical College on Friday, Nov. 9 at 6 pm and Marshalltown Community College on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 3 pm for the Dale Howard Classic.
