The Ellsworth Community College women's basketball team finished its preseason schedule this past Saturday, Oct. 31, after taking on Central College. The Panthers had previously played in the Heart of America Jamboree on Oct. 4, Kirkwood Jamboree on Oct. 11, and a scrimmage against Grand View on Oct. 24.

During the preseason schedule the Panthers faced some sizable competition, playing schools such as Grand View, Waldorf, Mount Mercy, Fort Scott, and Northwestern to name a few. In many of their preseason games the Panthers were paced by their backcourt. They looked to play the passing lanes and get out in the open court for easy transition baskets.

ECC will open the regular season at the Konigsmark Classic NIACC tournament. They will play Lake Land Community College at 2 pm on Friday, Nov. 6 and Illinois Central College at 11:00 am on Saturday, Nov. 7. The Panthers' first home games will be the weekend they host the Dale Howard Classic. They will take on Kennedy King College on Friday, Nov. 20, at 6 pm and State Fair Community College on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 3 pm.
