Ellsworth women's basketball holds "pink" game

The Ellsworth Community College women's basketball team will be holding a "pink" game on Saturday, Feb. 8, to support breast cancer awareness.

ECC will be selling t-shirts for $15, with funds being donated to the Kay Yow Breast Cancer Research group. The organization was formed by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association and the V Foundation for Cancer Research in 1987 when Kay Yow, head coach for North Carolina State, was diagnosed with breast cancer.

T-shirts can be purchased by calling ECC Head Coach Ed Geitz at 641-648-8689 or emailing Edward.Geitz@iavalley.edu. Payments for the shirts can be dropped off at the Ellsworth campus at the Gentle Student Center; checks should be payable to Ellsworth Women's Basketball.

Come out and support this great cause. The Panthers will be playing Northeast Nebraska on Feb. 8 at 1 pm.
