The Ellsworth Community College Women's Basketball team is set to start regular season play beginning with a home game on Monday, Nov. 4, against the Grand View College Junior Varsity at 5:30 pm.

The Panthers have had several preseason scrimmages so far to get ready for the season. "Our preseason scrimmages have shown us many things and we are looking forward to what this team can be," says Head Coach Ed Geitz.

Two players will be returning from last season to help lead the team, Jade Campbell and Kiara Harvey. "This year's team has a different look. Many of the players are local and will bring a lot to the team," adds Geitz.

In addition to the two returners there will be twelve new players. "With a young team, they will have to grow and learn from their experience on the court very quickly. I am excited to get the season started and I am looking for a great crowd to support these girls as we head into our first game."
