BOONE, IOWA -- The 2022 season came to a close for the Ellsworth volleyball team on Wednesday night when the Panthers dropped a 3-1 match to DMACC.  The night started well for the visiting Panthers who won the opening set, 25-23.  The Bears came back, though, to take the next 3 sets, 25-20, 25-13, 25-17.

ECC registered 27 kills with Faith Lobo's 6 leading the way.  Yanilette Diaz and Dylann Stephenson had 5 each.  Nuria Bravo Santos recorded 23 assists.  The Panthers had a whopping 18 service aces, their best serving match of the season.  Dallymar Panell Diaz contributed 6 of the aces, Alondra Acevedo had 4 and Dylann Stephenson 3.  Acevedo, who led the team in digs for the year, did so again in this match with 14.

Ellsworth ended the season with a record of 9-21, matching last year's win total.
