IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Six members of the Ellsworth men's wrestling team were named to the Fall 2023 Academic All-Region teams announced by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference.  The academic honor lists are made up of the 1st team of student-athletes with grade point averages of 3.5 and above, and the 2nd team of individuals with GPAs between 3.0 and 3.49.  A student-athlete's highest GPA was recognized, either their cumulative GPA or their fall semester-only GPA. 

Members of the men's wrestling team who earned 1st team recognition include Chris Compton, Giles Cowell and Nick Needham.  On the 2nd team are Brent Greenfield, Nick Koch and Parker Hayes. 

ECC had a total of 126 student-athletes from 8 different teams on the 2023 Fall Academic All-Region teams.
