Bill Glenn Is New Assistant Wrestling Coach at ECC

The Ellsworth Community College Athletic Department along with the Men's and Women's wrestling programs are proud to announce that Bill Glenn has accepted the role of Assistant Wrestling Coach.

Bill is from New Hampton, Iowa, and comes to Ellsworth with a vast background of wrestling experience and knowledge. Bill was a 3x State Qualifier in high school. In 1991, Bill was on the NCAA Championship team at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. The following year, Bill was given the honor of being the team captain. In 1999, Bill accepted the role of Head Wrestling Coach at New Hampton High School. He remained in that position until 2008. During his time as the head wrestling coach, Bill coached multiple wrestlers to the state tournaments. In 2004, the New Hampton wrestling team took 4th place at State. Bill coached his wrestlers to the state tournament once again the following year in 2005 where they became state champions, and in 2007, the New Hampton wrestling team took 3rd place at the state tournaments. Bill has produced 4 individual state champions and 20 state place winners. Bill also coaches golf as well for New Hampton. Bill has been the Head Boy's Golf Coach since 2011. During that time, Bill's golf team placed 7th in State in 2017 and 6th in State in 2019. Bill has coached 1 individual to become the state golf champion, 1 state place winner, and 4 individual state qualifiers.
