Mirzo Khayitov of the Ellsworth Men's Wrestling Team is on a path to claim the national title this season. Khayitov went 5-0 last week against his competition. During the Indian Hills dual, Khayitov pinned his opponent, Weston Milnes. At the Doane Open, Khayitov wrestled his way through four different 165-pound opponents from NAIA's Grand View University. The four different opponents were Jack Ervien, 10-4, Dillon Ulrey, 5-3, Tanner Abbas, 5-3, and the NAIA No. 1 wrestler and 2022 National Finalist, Marty Margolis, 5-2. This week, Khayitov did not give up a single offensive point which led to him going undefeated.
