CENTERVILLE, IOWA -- Indian Hills won the final three matches of the evening to come from behind and defeat Ellsworth, 28-17, in an ICCAC dual Wednesday night.
The Panthers got back-to-back wins by Ryan Graves and Nate Lendt, the ICCAC Wrestler of the Week last week, to take a 12-6 lead after four matches. ECC regained the advantage following a technical fall by Nolan Craine, but the hosts finished with a pair of pins and a decision to rally for the victory. ECC started with a 6-0 lead when IHCC didn't have a wrestler to face off with the Panthers' Kaden Karns at 125. Graves had a signature win, a 7-6 decision against Matthew Lewis, a 4-time high school state champion. Lendt ran his early-season record to 7-1 by claiming an 11-8 decision at 149 pounds. And Craine dominated his opponent, winning 21-4 for a 17-13 ECC lead on the scoreboard.
Ellsworth has a non-league dual this Friday at Minnesota West CC. The next home meet is Dec. 2 against Iowa Western.
