IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Six members of the Ellsworth CC women's basketball team were named to the Fall 2022 Academic All-Region teams announced by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference office this week.  The academic honor squads are divided into two lists: the 1st team is made up of the student-athletes with grade point averages of 3.5 and above; the 2nd team is those individuals with GPAs between 3.0 and 3.49.  A student-athlete's highest GPA was recognized, either their cumulative GPA or their GPA for the fall semester only.

The ECC women's basketball players who earned 1st team honors are Andrea Aragon Garcia, Arleen Chanez and Ingrid Martinez Guillen.  The 2nd team players are Cailin Reimer, Fabiana Nieves Martinez and Nyajah Orr.  

Ellsworth CC had a total of 115 student-athletes named to the Fall 2022 Academic All-Region teams in eight different sports.
