IOWA FALLS, IA – Justin Rees has been selected to be the new Head Women's Basketball coach for Ellsworth Community College, beginning with the 2022-23 season. Rees brings with him 23 years of collegiate coaching experience to Ellsworth.  With that, Rees has coached and recruited student-athletes to over 75 athletic and academic accolades during those seasons.

Before arriving at ECC Rees was the Head Coach at Baker University for 4 seasons.  While at Baker, he led 8 different players to 11 All-Conference honors, including 1 NAIA Honorable Mention All-American.

Before Baker, Rees served as Recruiting Coordinator and Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at NCAA Division I Valparaiso for 4 seasons.  While at Valpo, he led 7 players to All-Conference awards, including 3 All-Freshman/Newcomer Team award winners.

During the 2013-2014 season, Rees served as the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Missouri Valley College.  During that season, Rees led 2 players to All-Conference awards, an All-American Honorable-Mention award, and improved the program's win total by 11 games.

Rees has also had coaching stops in his career as an Assistant Coach at multiple NCAA schools, including the University of Maine, Ferris State, and William Jewell. 

Rees Graduated from Barry University, located in Miami Shores, Florida with a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Communications in 1997.  He was also a member of their men's basketball program for 4 seasons.
