Ellsworth Women Lose to DMACC

IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- With a number of regulars unable to play, a short-handed Ellsworth women's basketball team fell to DMACC, 67-44, at Dittmer Gym Wednesday night in the Panthers' return to play after a long layoff.

The visitors ran out to a 30-15 lead at intermission and took the ICCAC contest, even though they hit only 33.3 percent of their shots from the floor.  The Panthers made just 27 percent of their field goal tries and only 4 threes for the game, three of them by newcomer Alyssa Civitak.  In her first game as a Panther, Civitak led the scoring with 14 points and also grabbed 8 rebounds.  Autumn Shull had a game-high 14 rebounds for ECC and added 9 points.  Halle Miller scored 8 points.

Ellsworth faces conference foe Iowa Lakes at home this Saturday afternoon before road trips to Southeastern CC and Northeast (Neb.) CC next week.
