CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA -- Kirkwood CC, the nation's second-ranked team in the latest NJCAA Division II poll, flexed its muscles in a 94-41 win against visiting Ellworth CC in women's basketball action in Johnson Hall on Wednesday night.  The Eagles raced away to a 26-11 lead after one quarter, widened it to 49-19 by halftime, and completed its eighth win without a loss.

The Panthers were held to 28 percent field goal shooting and hit only 4-of-21 3-point attempts.  They did collect 11 steals but hurt themselves with 25 turnovers.

Autumn Shull led the Ellsworth scoresheet with 13 points and seven rebounds.  Both totals were just one shy of her season-best.  Victaeja Leavy also reached double-figures with 10 points.  Ellie Barrows tallied nine on three 3-pointers.  Keara Williams dished out four assists and had three steals.

Next up for Ellsworth is a home contest against Southeastern CC Saturday afternoon at 1:00 in Dittmer Gymnasium.
