Iowa Falls, Iowa -- Powered by an outstanding individual performance by Keara Williams and a big second-half comeback, the Ellsworth women's basketball team notched its first win of the season Wednesday night, outlasting Marshalltown CC, 86-83, in overtime at Dittmer Gymnasium.

The visitors from Marshalltown shot out to a 48-34 halftime lead.  The Panthers, however, got untracked in the next two quarters, outscoring the Tigers, 21-14, in the third period and 22-15 in the 4th quarter to even the score at 77-all at the end of regulation.  ECC (1-3) then used a 9-6 advantage in OT to pull out the victory.

Williams was tremendous for the winners, scoring 25 points and handing out 11 assists.  She added a pair of steals.  Ellie Barrows also sparkled with 17 points and was 5-of-12 from 3-point range.  Ellsworth drained a season-high 13 threes.  Also contributing from behind the arc was Victaeja Leavy, who made all three of her attempts and contributed 11 points to the ECC triumph.  Autumn Shull provided 13 points and pulled down eight rebounds.  Halle Miller helped Ellsworth to a rebounding edge with a team-best 11 boards.

Williams and Barrows both emerged from the game with double-figure scoring averages for the season -- Williams is now scoring 11.3 points a game and Barrows right behind at 11.0.

The Panthers go to Boone on Saturday looking to make it two straight wins when then they take on DMACC.
