IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Fifteen members of the Ellsworth men's basketball team were named to the Fall 2023 Academic All-Region teams announced by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference.  The academic honor lists are made up of the 1st team of student-athletes with grade point averages of 3.5 and above, and the 2nd team of individuals with GPAs between 3.0 and 3.49.  A student-athlete's highest GPA was recognized, either their cumulative GPA or their fall semester-only GPA. 

Members of the men's basketball team who earned 1st team recognition include Andrew Bicknese, Christopher Willis, Clavance Alvares, Clinton Efinda, Ezekiel Thompkins, Jack Scrivner, Jaron Crews, Jordan Glenn-Hawkins, Lamarana Diallo and Veljko Munitlak.  On the 2nd team are Arlandus Keyes, Brennan Geoghegan, Cameron Liggins, Chimobi Ikegwuruka and Hemed Khalifa.

Alvares, Thompkins, Glenn-Hawkins, Liggins, Ikegwuruka and Khalifa were also named to the 2023 Spring Academic All-Region teams.

ECC had a total of 126 student-athletes from 8 different teams on the 2023 Fall Academic All-Region teams.
