Iowa Lakes Deals Panther Men League Loss

IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- 16th-ranked Iowa Lakes hit 52 percent of its shots, outrebounded Ellsworth, 40-29, and picked up an 82-61 victory over the Panthers at Dittmer Gym Saturday afternoon.

The Lakers opened a 40-27 advantage at intermission and built on that lead in the final 20 minutes in handling the Panthers in the first meeting of the year between the two.

ECC put three players in double-figures, led by Junior Bodden with 13 points.  Ra'mir Scott added 12 and he made two of Ellsworth's 4 threes for the game.  Richie Warren chipped in 10 points.

The Panthers play twice on the road in the coming week:  at Dakota County Tech Wednesday and Northeast (Neb.) CC on Saturday.  Ellsworth owns an earlier 68-64 decision over Dakota County Tech, holding off a late rally to defeat DCTC on Nov. 20 at Iowa Central's tournament.
