Panther Men Roll to 4th Straight Win

IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Ellsworth took a 40-point halftime lead and went on to smash the Loras College JV, 87-42, Tuesday night at Dittmer Gym.  It was the 4th consecutive win for ECC, all of them at home.

This game was settled early, the Panthers taking advantage of a lengthy Loras dry spell in the opening half to explode to a 49-9 bulge at intermission.  All 14 players saw action and each of them scored at least two points.  Thirteen of the 14 had a field goal.  ECC benefited from 55 bench points and had season highs in assists with 24 and steals with 14.  They shot 53 percent from the field.

Richie Warren, named the conference Player of the Week, the day before, topped the Ellsworth scoring with 14 points and he added 8 rebounds and 5 assists.  Two of the ECC reserves, Khedric Oliver and Andres Arellano, scored 10 points apiece.

Ellsworth will take part in the Iowa Central Classic in Fort Dodge this weekend, playing Central-Columbus (Neb.) Friday and Dakota County Tech Saturday.
