Coach Vaught was born in Rockford, Illinois, and graduated in 2008 from Winnebago High School. He currently lives in Iowa Falls with his son, Kory Vaught Jr.

"Kory has done a great job leading our program in the Interim role and I could not be happier to have him take over full-time and lead this program in the future. He has great experience at many levels of football, and I am excited to see the program grow under Coach Vaught," said Nate Forsyth, Athletic Director for ECC.
