Connor Hanson is announced as new Associate Head Women's Wrestling Coach at Ellsworth

Connor Hanson has been selected to be the new Associate Head Coach for the Women's Wrestling program at Ellsworth Community College, beginning with the 2022-23 season. Hanson comes to Ellsworth with an extensive background in wrestling.

 

Hanson, who is originally from Harmony, MN, graduated from Fillmore Central High School and wrestled for FCLMC with a 122-65 record. After high school, Hanson attended Rochester Community and Technical College where he wrestled for two seasons. While attending RCTC, Hanson was awarded the 2015 NCWA All-American award, the 2016 MCAC Champion award, and the MCAC Wrestler of the Year award. From there, Hanson transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where he wrestled for three seasons. In 2018-2019, Hanson was selected as Team Captain for the UWEC wrestling program. Hanson graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Coaching.

 

Hanson was previously the Men's & Women's Assistant Coach at SWOCC where Hanson had a hand in cultivating 6 All-American male athletes, 1 of whom was crowned National Champion in 2022, 3 WCWA All-American women athletes, 10 JCNC All-Americans, 3 National Champions from 2021-22, and the first two-time National Champion in Women's Junior College Wrestling.
