Turnovers Hurt Panther Women in Loss at NIACC

MASON CITY, IOWA --  Ellsworth fell behind 13-4 after the first quarter and couldn't mount a comeback in losing to NIACC, 67-39, Wednesday night.  The margin grew to 18 points by intermission and the Panthers didn't get untracked offensively until they put up 18 points in the fourth period.  Forty-one turnovers helped allow the winners to get off 23 more shots than ECC.

Autumn Shull had a solid game for the Panthers, scoring 12 points on 6-of-10 shooting and she pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds.  ECC held a 47-45 advantage on the glass.  Victaeja Leavy joined Shull in double-figures with 11 points and she handed out three assists.  Ellie Barrows pitched in eight points.

ECC will play at Iowa Central CC next Wednesday and then hosts DMACC Mar. 13.
