FORT DODGE, IOWA -- The recent second-half woes continued for the Ellsworth CC men's basketball team Wednesday night as the Panthers, who trailed by two points at intermission, saw Iowa Central make 16-of-22 shots in the second half and pull away for a 72-54 victory. As they had in their previous two games against NIACC and Indian Hills, the Panthers put together a solid first half, down by only 30-28 at the break. Iowa Central's 73 percent shooting in the final 20 minutes let them outscore the visitors, 42-26.
Conference scoring leader Adam Jackson was the only ECC player in double figures with a game-high 27 points, half of his team's total. Fifteen of those points came in the first half. Jackson drained five 3-pointers. Dorian Allen contributed eight points off the bench.
The Panthers host DMACC this Saturday afternoon at Dittmer Gymnasium.
