Panther men earn much needed win

The Ellsworth Community College men's basketball team hosted rivals Iowa Central Community College on Wednesday, Jan. 29 and knocked down 14 three-pointers on their way to a 78-65 victory.

The win ties the Panthers with the Tritons for fifth place in the ICCAC, both with a 2-5 conference record.

ECC jumped out to an early lead, going on a 13-0 run to lead 28-15. The deficit was cut to five at the half (31-26). The Panthers were able to pull away and with just under seven minutes to go in the game, led by 20 points.

Three were in double figures for ECC, led by Josh Donaldson's 18 points. Alec Oberhauser (11), Tony Eddy (11) and Adam Jackson (10) also paced the hosts.
