Winning Streak to Three for Ellsworth Volleyball

IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Playing on their home court at Dittmer Gym for the next-to-last time this season, the Ellsworth Panthers made quick work of Emmaus Bible College on Monday with a decisive 3-0 victory.  ECC notched its 5th straight-sets win this year, taking care of the visitors, 25-7, 25-6, 25-14 to improve their record to 9-19.

Freshman Nuria Bravo Santos sparked the ECC attack with a season-best 30 assists and five ace serves, which tied a season-high.  She has nine aces in the past two matches.

The Panthers hit .311 and were led at the net by Gabi Damiano's 8 kills and 6 each by Haley Forge and Louise LionHanna Forge added 18 assists to Bravo Santos's total.  Haley Forge paced ECC in digs with 11 and was followed by Damiano and Jada Smith with 8 apiece.

Ellsworth is down to just three regular-season matches remaining.  They will host DMACC for the Panthers' Sophomore Night on Wednesday with the 8 sophs on the roster to be recognized.  The final two contests are away, at Marshalltown Oct. 23 and Iowa Lakes Oct. 27.
