Three Ellsworth Community College athletes received Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week honors. Nicole Nielsen was awarded the DII Volleyball player of the week and Ethan Barnett received the offense and Ryan Guthrie the defensive athlete of the week.

Nielsen posted double-doubles with 10 kills and 15 digs against Iowa Central and 13 kills and 22 digs against Marshalltown Community College. She also had 20 digs in the Panthers win over Anoka-Ramsey. Nielsen is the Panthers' leading attacker, currently ranked 6th in the ICCAC conference with 201 kills for the season. This is Nielsen's first honor of ICCAC athlete of the week.

Barnett received player of the week honors for his career day against College of DuPage. The sophomore running back carried the ball seventeen times for 69-yards and a touchdown in their 21-7 win. With Barnett's help ECC out rushed 16th ranked DuPage 167 to 47. This is also Barnett's first honor of ICCAC athlete of the week.

Guthrie has been a huge player on defense for the Panthers this year. This is his 3rd award this season for ICCAC Athletic of the week. The Panther defense held DuPage to a season low of 7 points. Guthrie dominated this game with 14 solo tackles, five tackles for loss, a sack and a forced fumble. He now has 64 total tackles for the year and leads the conference in tackles per game at 12.8.
