The Ellsworth Community College wrestling team hosted Labette on Dec. 4, losing a close match, 20-19 by criteria.
The Panthers had four wins for the night: Leivon Lewis (157) scored a 7-6 win; Matthew Rodriguez-Kirkland (165) tallied a 12-6 win; Sadarris Patterson (174) scored a 13-4 win; and Dalonte Holland (285) took a 3-2 win.
The Panthers will be back on the mat on Saturday, Dec. 6, when they travel to Storm Lake for the Buena Vista Open. Matches will begin at 9 am.
