The 8th ranked Ellsworth wrestling team (1-0) opened up dual meet action with a 40-12 victory over Minnesota West on Thursday night.
Picking up victories in contested matches were Jacob Igartua (141), winner by fall, and Sharod Wilson (285) winner by a 9-1 major decision. Also winning by forfeit were Christian Flenker (133), Puthasorn Phanrana (149), Levi Kaufman (165), Matt Hurford (184) and Marcus Smith (197).
The Panthers return to action on Saturday, Nov. 23, when they will compete in Lindenwood University's Joe Parisi Open in St. Charles, MO.
