Keziah Lewis signs with Kent State

Ellsworth Community College Panther women's basketball is proud to announce the signing of Keziah Lewis to Kent State University in Ohio.

Lewis, a sophomore at ECC was a leader for the Panthers. She averaged 12.8 points per game, 5.7 rebounds per game, with 80 assists and 38 steals for the season. She was also a two-time All-Region selection, second team as a freshman and first team this year.

"Keziah is a proven scorer at the college level who can best be described as someone that is 'hard to guard,'" said Head Kent State Head Basketball Coach Danielle O'Banion.  "She has shown the ability to be effective shooting the ball, driving the ball and scoring it from the free-throw line. Her aggressive, down hill style of basketball will bring a different dimension to our team next season. We're looking forward to adding both Keziah's ability and her experience to our program this summer."

When asked why she selected Kent State Lewis commented, "It felt like home when I visited. I felt like I fit in well with the assistant and head coach as well as the girls I met."

Lewis also said that she has enjoyed her time at ECC. "The people are all very welcoming and the community was supportive."
