Panthers on 3-game winning streak

The Ellsworth Community College women's basketball team will be heading into the holiday break on a three-game winning streak after defeating Grand View JV 79-62 on Saturday, Dec. 6.  

Grand View was held to just 30% shooting from the field while the Panthers maintained control of the lead, pulling ahead by as much as 20 points in the second half.  

The team saw play from all 13 girls for the second game in a row. ECC shot 80% from the free throw line. Five players scored in double figures led by Keziah Lewis with 16 points; she also added 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Ashley Gates had 15 points and 9 rebounds; Jordyn Lehman had 15 points and 8 rebounds; Chantelle Rumph had 15 points along with 4 steals and 3 assists; and Molly Greenfield added 13 points and 6 rebounds.  

The Panthers will resume action on Jan. 6 as they host Wartburg College JV in Iowa Falls at 7 pm.
