Top finishers for ECC sports shooting

The Ellsworth Community College sports shooting team traveled to Afton, Iowa to compete against the Corridor Clay Crushers on Saturday, Oct. 6 bringing home two first place finishes and a second place finish.

Competing for the women, ECC's Taylor Scott took first place with 98 points and was followed closely by ECC's Brie Pratt at 95 points to take second place. Rounding out the ECC women, Brittany McKinney competed in her first meet ever with a 43.

Rex Neely was the top men's competitor for ECC with a 99 placing him second for the men overall. George Haefner also came in new to sports shooting having never shot at claybirds thrown in a regulation traspshoot. He finished with a 78.

ECC fell short in the team standings finishing with a 413 and the Corridor Clay Crushers with 476. The Panthers will be on the road again this coming Saturday, Oct. 13 traveling to Iowa Central Community College to compete.
