Kramer signs with Graceland University

Ellsworth Community College softball pitcher Sydney Kramer has signed with Graceland University in Lamoni, IA to continue her athletic and academic career.

Kramer made her decision to go to Graceland after visiting the campus. "I liked the small campus feel but it is a bigger school. I know Coach Verwers and the team because we have played them in the past. I like his coaching style."

Kramer is in her second season with the Panthers. She is currently 3rd in the ICCAC in ERA's for those throwing more than 10 innings. She is also 2nd in the ICCAC in strikeouts. She is currently three and three with two saves and is averaging 9.49 strikeouts per game.

When asked about how coming to ECC has prepared her for the next step Kramer commented, "There is a big difference between high school and college. Coming to ECC has helped me make the transition easier and smoother. It has also shown me what the competition will be like."

"I am very excited to see Sydney move on," commented ECC Head Softball Coach Nate Forsyth. "Graceland is getting a tremendous student athlete and Sydney will be an asset to their campus."
