ECC softball builds 2017 roster

The Ellsworth Community College softball team is gearing up for the 2017 spring season, but like all college sports they have to plan ahead. The Panthers are proud to announce the addition of three new players who have signed to attend ECC beginning Fall 2017.

Natalee Dippel (Belmond-Klemme High School) is a utility player who, during her junior year, batted .400 with 2 home runs, 5 doubles and 16 RBI's. She was awarded 2nd Team All-Conference and was named Team Captain and Offensive Player of the Year for Belmond-Klemme. She also received Honorable Mention All-Conference her sophomore year.

Jordawn Leer (Belton High School, Belton, MO) is a catcher who lettered both her sophomore and junior years. She hit .292 with 8 doubles and 18 RBI's for her club team in the Spring of 2016.

Lexi Riggell (Centerville High School) is a third baseman who has received numerous honors during her high school career thus far. Her freshman year she was awarded Honorable Mention All-Conference; sophomore year she received 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-District and 3rd Team All-State honors; and her junior year she was named unanimous 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-District and 2nd Team All-State.
