Ellsworth Community College is proud to announce the commitment of Sydney Vrban of Waukee, IA, to continue her education and her softball career at Simpson College in Indianola.

Vrban was named Honorable Mention All-Region as a catcher for the ECC Panthers. She hit .309 this past season, with 38 hits and 26 runs scored.

Vrban says, "I've really enjoyed my time here at Ellsworth, and I'm ready to move on to the next level. I'm excited for what the future holds at Simpson."

"Sydney did a great job for us this past season," says ECC Head Softball Coach Nate Forsyth. "She was called upon to catch a majority of our games due to some injuries, and she handled that very well. She has a great work ethic and she is also exceptional in the classroom. I wish her the best as she continues her career at Simpson."
