Despite Jackson's 32 Points, DMACC Gets By ECC

IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Adam Jackson, the nation's second-leading scorer, poured in 32 points, but DMACC escaped Dittmer Gym with a 74-66 decision against Jackson's ECC Panthers Saturday.

DMACC, the number-two team in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference standings, won their 8th game in a row, however the Panthers battled them to the end, outscoring the Bears, 37-30, in the 2nd half.

Jackson had his 4th game this season with over 30 points and raised his scoring average to 24.1.  That's second in the NJCAA DII ranks.  The sophomore guard has scored in double figures in every game.  He was the only Ellsworth player in double figures against DMACC, though.

The Panthers, who trailed 44-29 at intermission before closing the gap over the final 20 minutes, got a good performance off the bench from Rich Ashu, who scored seven points and snared eight rebounds, both season highs.

Ellsworth has another home game this Wednesday when they host Kirkwood CC at Dittmer gym.
