Coach Jesse Dymon Adams will enter his third season as a running back coach on the collegiate level. Coach Adams has served on the Clemson University coaching staff under Dabo Swinney for the last two and a half seasons.  At Clemson, he assisted Coach Tony Elliott with the running backs and as a coaching analyst in the high-powered offense. While at Clemson, his team won back-to-back ACC Championships, back-to-back College Football Playoff Championships, and a National Championship. On that championship run, he helped defeat the likes of Ohio State, Oklahoma, Florida State, and Alabama.  Coach Adams has two running backs that made it to the NFL, Wayne Gallman Jr. with New York Giants and Zac Brooks with Seattle Seahawks.

Coach Adams enjoyed a successful playing career as a running back and defensive back starting with T.C. Roberson High School in Asheville, North Carolina. A few of his high school playing highlights include, Blue Chip A-A #4 Defensive Back in ACC Region, SuperPrep #14 player in North Carolina, SuperPrep All- American, and Lemming #22 player in Mid-Atlantic. Coach Adams played college football at Ellsworth Community College for two seasons under head coach Mark Thompson and then transferred to Clemson in the spring of 1998.  In his first year at Ellsworth Community College, he had 900 + rushing yards, 11 touchdowns in seven games, and received All American Honorable Mention, and All Conference Running Back honors. His college playing career ended at the University of Northern Iowa in 2000. His playing career concluded with the arena football team, Rapid City Red Dogs, in 2004.  During his time with the Red Dogs, Adams was voted Co-MVP in years 2002 and 2003 named team captain in both years as well.

Coach Adams graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Communication from Clemson University. He was born December 18, 1976, in Asheville, North Carolina.  He has a daughter, Ciara, who is currently a senior at Clemson University and a fiancé, Jessica, who is an Iowa native.
