Ellsworth Community College congratulates Panther wide receiver Ben Rooney on being recognized by the NJCAA as an Honorable Mention All-American.
Rooney's final game of the season may have clinched the award, as the sophomore's skills shone brightly in the 2017 Graphic Edge Bowl opening game. During that game, Rooney had 177 yards on five catches, with four of the catches resulting in touchdowns.
Rooney's 64 total receptions this season rank him 7th in the NJCAA, and his 839 yards rank 9th in NJCAA.
He has committed to Grand View University to continue his football and academic career beginning this spring.
