ECC's O'Meally commits to TCU

Ellsworth Community College Panther defensive back Corry O'Meally of Miami, FL, has committed to transfer in the fall to Texas Christian University, where he'll become a member of the Horned Frogs football team for the 2014 season.

"I am proud of Corry and his efforts here at Ellsworth Community College and what he has brought to the table during his two years with us," says ECC Head Football Coach Josh Lattimer. "He established himself as one of the top corners in the country this year and by doing so has received a great opportunity with TCU. Corry is a very quiet yet intimidating player. I trusted him to lock down the opposing teams' number one receiver every game we played in this year."

O'Meally has played for the Panthers for two seasons. This year he had 43 tackles, 28 of those solo and 3 tackles for a loss. He also had 11 pass break ups and 3 interceptions. O'Meally is a two-time All Conference player and second team All American this year.

TCU was O'Meally's choice because of its history of great football; the Horned Frogs are a top 20 team year-in and year-out.

"I'm looking forward to competing in the Big 12 and excited about this opportunity for my future," said O'Meally.
