Shawn Kahre joined the Ellsworth baseball coaching staff in Fall of 2018. He is also an Associate Scout for the New York Mets.

Before joining the ECC coaching staff, Coach Kahre began his coaching career at his Alma mater, Vincennes University where he was a pitching coach for the 2017-18 season.

Prior to coaching at Vincennes University, Kahre played a season of professional baseball in the Pecos League for the White Sands Pupfish in New Mexico. 

Before beginning his professional career, he attended Vincennes University and played outfield for the Trailblazers from 2011-2013. He then continued his academic and baseball career at Kentucky Wesleyan College as a pitcher. With the KWC Panthers, Kahre posted a 2.72 ERA in 19.1 innings pitched. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Fitness and Sports Management from Kentucky Wesleyan College in 2015.
