Ellsworth Community College Panther baseball is proud to announce that two players received DII Iowa Community College Athletic Association Conference (ICCAC) All-Region honors. Catcher Tyrese Mitchell was named First Team All-Region, and Infielder Reed Collins was named Honorable Mention All-Region.
Mitchell, a sophomore from Milwaukee, WI, had 202 career putouts at the plate as a Panther. He boasted a .338 batting average, scoring 29 runs, 2 home runs and 24 runs batted in. Mitchell also stole 24 bases, and was caught stealing only 4 times in two years.
Collins, a sophomore first baseman from Farmington, MN, had 158 career putouts at first base for a fielding percentage of .976. His batting average was .286, and he scored 31 runs and 8 home runs, with 39 runners batted in. Collins also stole 11 bases as a Panther.
