Ellsworth Community College baseball player Brodie Smith (Red Wing, MN) has been named Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week for his efforts on the field this past weekend when the Panthers traveled to Oklahoma.
ECC fell in 3 of 4 games and tied in the final game of the series but Smith had some great individual stats. He averaged .538 at bat over the weekend going 7 of 13 including a home run. This is the first of the 2019 season for Smith. He also knocked in four RBI's as well as scoring three runs. He now has a .350 batting average for the season.
Smith is a sophomore centerfielder for the Panthers.
