Ellsworth Community College pitcher, Trevor Smisek, was awarded Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) player of the week for April 9-15.

The sophomore left-hander, pitched a complete game against conference opponent Iowa Central on Thursday, April 12. He had nine strikeouts in the seven-innings pitched in the Panthers 3-2 win. Smisek allowed Iowa Central only two runs, one earned. He has compiled 37 innings this season.

ECC is currently scheduled to host double-headers against DMACC this Saturday and Sunday with games starting at 1 and 3 pm.
