Miller adds All-American honors to 2017 accomplishments

2017 All-District, All-Region, Academic All-Region and ICCAC Player of the week. The list of accomplishments for Ellsworth Community College baseball player Travis Miller has been extensive in his sophomore year as a Panther. In addition to the list of honors, Miller has just been named National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Third Team All-American.

Miller, a sophomore from Cumberland, WI, had a slugging percentage of .786 for the season, putting him at 12th best in the NJCAA. He had 14 home runs, 136 total bases and 62 runs batted in. His stats put him in the top 25 nationally for all categories. He also had a .399 batting average.

Miller will be continuing his academic and baseball career, but is undecided on the location right now. He is the second All-American in the past 12 years for the Panthers; JJ Reimer received All-American honors in 2013.

"The entire ECC baseball coaching staff is very proud of Travis," commented Head Baseball Coach Travis Akre. "This is a great reward for his stellar sophomore season! He has had an outstanding career at Ellsworth Community College, and we wish him continued success in his baseball career!"
