Pedro Hernandez has announced that he is resigning as the Ellsworth Community College (ECC) assistant baseball coach. Hernandez has accepted the head baseball coaching position at Southwestern Community College in Creston, IA.

"Ellsworth Community College gave me my first opportunity to coach at the college level and I will always be thankful for that opportunity," says Coach Hernandez. "I would like to thank all the people at ECC for all the help and the two great years I have been here. It has been a great experience for me and my family to be part of this institution."

ECC Athletic Director Nate Forsyth says, "I am very happy for Pedro and reaching his goal of becoming a head baseball coach at the collegiate level. We will miss him at ECC as he was key member of our campus. I wish him the best of luck in the future."
